Giveaway

***A Yogi With a Cause Giveaway***
"Style made with LOVE"

Everyday we make choices that affect others.  What we eat, how we speak, what we physically do and what we buy.  Our green energy, our money, is a very powerful tool to make a difference in this world.  It is easy to become numb to where our products come from.  How do they end of up on the shelves? What are they made of and who made them?

Typical Sweatshop in Haiti

Sweatshop workers are incredibly exploited; they don’t earn a living wage, or receive any benefits. They have very poor, unhealthy working conditions, work 60-80 hours per week (with no overtime) and often go through verbal and physical abuse. Most sweatshops employ children.

FAIR TRADE is a fair trading agreement between the producer and the consumer.  The rights of the producers and workers are protected.  Companies that honor the fair trade standards are held to high principles and you can be assured that your money is going to a good cause.

Noonday Collection is a company where your dollars will make a difference in someone else's life. Not only are their products fair trade, the company gives back in a great way. The company was started by selling locally made Ugandan goods in America. These women were raising money for costly adoption cost that were needed for the hundreds of children without moms or dads. The money from the sales went back to those women to assist in adoption costs.

Being a fair trade company, your dollars go back to the producers, giving them a steady income.  The company itself also donates towards orphan care and prevention as well as giving money to adoptive families in need to save orphaned children.

PLUS, their products are super stylish!

***Now to the goods!***

Our local Noonday representative is donating a beautiful necklace called the Happy Day Necklace  to one lucky winner.  The necklace is made in Uganda.  Read the creators amazing story here.

  1. 99.999% of Gav's clothes (even though he's almost 6) are either hand me down or when I do purchase him 'new' things, they are from a kid's consignment store. Buying new just seems crazy. So I consciously buy his clothes consigned. I know by doing that I personally am not supporting sweat shops, or anything else bad like that.
